Regional climate risk profile
Theme: Environmental Management
Description:
Queensland's regions experience a wide variety of climatic conditions, each facing its own unique hazards and risks. To effectively adapt to future climate change, it is crucial to understand how these hazards and risks are likely to evolve within each region. This project aims to analyse future climate risks for a selected region in Queensland using publicly available climate data and established risk assessment methods.
Additional Information: This is an opportunity to do a joint research project between UQ and the Queensland Government’s Climate Projections & Services team. The student should have a background in geography/climate science/physics or maths and should have some knowledge of coding or a willingness to learn.
