Review of marine data hubs and knowledge systems
Theme: Earth science and resources, Environmental management, Geography, Marine biology and ocean science
Description:
In this day and age it is getting easier to gather or create new data. Knowledge hubs or knowledge systems are being used to share and view spatial data and various online portals. This research proposes a review a data hub, data depositories and/or knowledge systems for marine environment. To describe the existing platforms, their main features and possible limitations. The review could lead to a general advise on the requirements of an ideal knowledge hub for marine purpose.
Additional Information: This would be a desktop review for a research project. The research project will be conducted within the staff and students Marine Ecosystems Monitoring Lab that is focusing their research on coral reef and seagrass habitats using field and earth observation-based methods.
