Project Title: A comparative study of housing affordability issues in China and Australia

Project Description: This research aims to investigate the underlining forces for declining housing affordability in China and Australia from two dimensions: bottom-up and top-down. Specifically, the bottom-up approach is used to study housing affordability issues at a household level, which provides insights into the relationship between individual home purchase behaviour and housing market performance. The top-down method is adopted to understand the impacts of housing policies on the housing sector at a national level and regional level.
