Project title:

Mangrove tree architecture and ecosystem function

Project description:

I am a PhD candidate studying on unceded Yaggera and Turrbal Country at the University of Queensland. I am working to understand the architecture of mangrove trees, and I am particularly excited by the unique structure of mangrove roots. Improving our understanding of mangrove tree architecture and its links to ecosystem function will support efforts to secure and shelter coastal communities and their mangroves, in a changing climate.
I also design and deliver high school and public engagement workshops for the UQ School of the Environment.
