Project title:

Digital Deconcentration and the Changing Face of American Cities: Examining the Effects of Working

Project description:

The outbreak of COVID-19 at the end of 2019 has led to a significant shift in the way people work, with many companies implementing working from home policies as a result of social distancing measures. This has prompted a re-examination of cities and the potential impacts on the distribution of jobs and population in metropolitan areas. My PhD will focus on understanding how the shift towards remote work has affected post-pandemic urbanisation in the US at three scales of national, metropolitan, and local.
