Project title:

Research on the effects of dynamic indoor thermal conditions on human health

Project description:

Relatively few studies exist that make assertions on health effects of time dependent exposure to a dynamic temperature course in indoor work environments. The aim of this research is to investigate possible health effects resulting from dynamic temperature exposure. Office workers spend most of their working time indoors and can be physiologically, psychologically and socially influenced by the thermal indoor environment. While static temperatures are considered to have negative health effects, such as weakened thermal resilience or immune response, dynamic exposures are proposed to have health promoting outcomes. One hypothesised outcome of this research is that stress levels among participants will be reduced in response to the dynamic temperature pattern.
