Project title:

Sulfide weathering in Antarctica as a Mars analogue

Short Project description:

This project aims to characterize the mechanisms of sulfide weathering in Antarctica, an extreme terrestrial environment that is analogous to terrains on Mars that may undergo similar sulfide weathering processes. Constraining the formation of alteration products on Mars informs our understanding of the conditions that prevailed throughout geological history, including the timing and distribution of water on the surface of Mars.
