The causes and consequences of multiple layers of protected area designation

Project description:

As the global protected area network expands, an increasing number of protected areas are now recognised by multiple regional, national, and/or international designation mechanisms. My project investigates how the phenomenon of multi-designation affects conservation outcomes in Australia and beyond.
