Theme: Environmental Management

Description:

The world’s climate is changing rapidly, with recent extreme events such as floods and droughts increasingly linked to climate change. However, projections of future streamflow remain unclear due to uncertainties in rainfall changes and the impacts of rising temperatures. This project aims to understand how streamflow may respond to a changing climate by using rainfall-runoff models with projections of future climate for a case-study location in Queensland.

Additional Information: This is an opportunity to do a joint research project between UQ and the Queensland Government’s Climate Projections & Services team. The student should have a background in engineering/science/physics or maths and should have a good understanding of python.
