Project title:

Oceanography of Cape Darnley, East Antarctica

Project description:

Cape Darnley is one of the four key locations for Antarctic Bottom Water formation. This site is the most recently discovered, in 2013, and hence it is the least well understood. Antarctic Bottom Water is integral to global climate as it drives the global thermohaline circulation. This project involves analysing both observational and model data to help improve our understanding of the region and the impact climate change may have on this system.
