Project description:
The Australian government has been promoting regional settlement of humanitarian migrants in the past two decades. This project establishes the changes in the settlement patterns, examines the potential consequence of regional settlement and investigates the level and determinants of retention of humanitarian migrants who settled in regional areas since 2006 using novel administrative microdata from the Multi-Agency Date Integration Project (MADIP).
