Project title:

The Role of Introgression in Shaping The Genomic Landscape of Speciation

Project description:

Two coastal ecotypes of Senecio lautus, an Australian wildflower, show replicated parallel evolution, yet the role of gene flow during ecotype formation remains incompletely understood. Using forward simulations and population genetic approaches, I will investigate how gene flow shapes the genomic landscape of divergence in these ecotypes, providing insight into the evolutionary mechanisms underlying parallel adaptation.
