Koala habitat use in Brisbane's bushland areas
Theme: Biodiversity and conservation science
Description:
This project examines the use and availability of tree species and areas of habitat in the Brisbane Koala Bushlands. Koalas will be radio tracked and vegetation transects assessed to compare tree choices of koalas. Additional data from GPS collars will also be used to develop and compare ranging patterns.
Additional Information:
You'll need to have transport, be motivated and wiling to work independently in the bush, although several projects are available so its not all lonely work and there is room to modify programs. There are projects in the areas of Burbank and Wacol presently (2025-2026).
