Wave generating features (e.g., tropical cyclones, persistent winds) vary significantly around the Australian continent. A review of existing wave climate trends and analysis using wave buoy observations and numerical models would be beneficial to identify long-term drivers of the wave climate across Australia. This project would involve assessment of the wave climate across Australia using buoy observations and numerical models, accompanied by a comprehensive review of existing literature.
