Untangling the ‘Fisher Effect’: Leveraging Fisher Skill for Bycatch Management
Project description:
For my PhD, I am researching fisher-informed strategies for effective bycatch management across fisheries internationally. My particular interest is in the social-psychological and governance factors shaping bycatch-mitigative fishing practices and behaviors. Overall, my work focuses on collaborating directly with key actors and community partners to develop innovative approaches for marine resource management.
