The UQ City Impact Lab links internationally recognised research and capability in urban change, sustainable development and city-making with government and industry.

We provide independent insight and evidence-based analysis to help our government, industry and community partners deliver policy and place-based solutions.

Our vision

UQ City Impact Lab members are united in our purpose to build greener and fairer cities.

Our vision is underpinned and shaped by our commitment to create and share the knowledge and capability required to drive urban transformation at local, national and international levels.

We do this through a focus on people, place, policy and practice.

Working together

The UQ City Impact Lab can support you in your studies in urban research, policy development and city-making at all academic levels. We can link you with industry and government partners for internships, industry placements and knowledge exchanges.

Look out for opportunities advertised on these web pages.

Knowledge exchange

To discuss hosting a student or potential knowledge exchange opportunities, email us at cityimpactlab@uq.edu.au.

We can also work with you to develop a purpose-built workshop or training session for your organisation or team.

Citizen science

Through research, teaching and service programs, the UQ City Impact Lab supports initiatives that promote citizen engagement in our neighbourhoods, towns and cities.

We believe that university-community partnerships can deliver real change.

To discuss your idea, email us at cityimpactlab@uq.edu.au.
